Who we are
HollywoodCast (“HollywoodCast”, “we”, “us”) is a casting platform operated by Hollywood Cast LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. It connects talent, casting directors, production companies, and agencies. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers our websites, our waiting list, and the HollywoodCast platform.
Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use HollywoodCast.
- Waiting list. Your email address, and if you choose to share them, your first and last name and your role in the industry (for example actor, casting director, or agency). We also record the campaign that brought you to us (UTM parameters) so we know which of our marketing efforts work.
- Account and profile. When the platform opens, creating an account requires an email address and password. Talent profiles can include photos, reels, credits, physical characteristics used in casting (such as height or hair color), union status, and availability. You decide what to add, and casting-related details are only used to operate the service — matching, search, applications, and set cards.
- Company details. Company accounts can include a company name, logo, location, and casting activity such as published calls and roles.
- Payments. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive confirmation of your subscription status from Stripe.
- Usage and device data. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that keep the service secure and help us understand what to improve.
- Messages and support. Messages you send through the platform, and conversations with our support team.
How we use it
- To operate the service: profiles, casting calls, applications, auditions, bookings, and messaging.
- To tell you when we launch and to send early access invitations, if you joined the waiting list.
- To send service emails such as application updates, booking confirmations, and account notices. You control non-essential notifications in your settings.
- To match talent with roles. Matching uses the casting attributes you chose to put on your profile.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
- To improve the product, using aggregated usage patterns rather than the content of your profile or messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that run HollywoodCast, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (your account, profile, and media live here).
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
- Resend — sending the emails described above.
- Crisp — the support chat widget, if you use it.
- Mapbox — location search and maps.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers.
Beyond that: casting-facing parts of a talent profile are visible to casting professionals on the platform as part of what the service is; we may disclose information if the law requires it; and if HollywoodCast is ever acquired, data transfers as part of that transaction under this policy's protections.
How long we keep it
Waiting-list entries are kept until launch outreach is complete, then deleted or converted into an account at your choice. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after you close it, except where we must keep records longer (for example, payment records for tax law).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings; for anything else, email us and we will respond within the timeframe your local law requires. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Minors
HollywoodCast accounts are for adults 18 and over. Profiles for minor talent may only be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, and casting calls that may involve minors go through an additional safety review by our team before they become visible.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and profile media is stored in private storage served through expiring links. No internet service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your data we will notify you as the law requires.
Cookies
We use a small set of cookies, described in our Cookie Policy.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or an in-product notice before the change takes effect. Questions and privacy requests: legal@thehollywoodcast.com.
